   Developmental Walking Difficulties

  • In-toeing or Out-Toeing, Childrens feet sometimes need gentle correction with specialist orthotics.

  • Limbs grow at different rates, and from being babies, our leg and foot bones unravel and twist, sometimes differences from the usual pattern can create walking abnormailities, and sometimes we can have the right or left growing slower or faster giving a shorter or longer leg.

  • Muscle imbalances create "curly toes", and check and exercises, and orthotics can reduce effects on altering gait, (the way we walk)

  • Sometimes the nerves dont work properly sending the wrong messages from the head to the foot, and this may need tesing for and referring for specialist help.
